So I hate some aspects of life right now. Boys suck basically. But anyway, I'm so glad I have nail polish and all my beautiful nail friends! Nail polish will always be there for me, it will never leave me! Anyway, I decided to try out ligthning nails. I roughly based my design off of that of The Daily Nail Blog's take on them.

Polishgate Haul

Well it's a week post Polishgate and many of us have gotten our deal hauls from them. I do have to say that I am thrilled this whole mess is over. It was way too much drama. It was also a rollercoaster of emotions. Friday night, or I guess it was Saturday morning because it was so late, we were all on a nail polish high and then Saturday afternoon we all had our dreams crushed. Then the drama followed, and oh man, the drama was strong. Anyway, on Wednesday I received my haul 13 bottles as opposed to the original 141 I ordered, but it was still a great deal!

I got 13 bottles in total. Seche Restore, Essie Turquoise and Caicos, China Glaze Sweet Hook, China Glaze Snow Globe, China Glaze Happy Go Lucky, China Glaze Blue Island Ice Tea, China Glaze Re-fresh Mint, China Glaze Luxe and Lush, China Glaze Fast Track, China Glaze Up All Night, China Glaze Riveting, China Glaze Tinsel Town, and China Glaze Skyscraper.

China Glaze Sweet Hook is swatched above, it is one of my favorites from the haul. It's kind of a purple/pink pastel creme.

I was shocked when I first put CG Riveting on my nails. It was SO bright and bold. It's a beautiful orange with gold shimmer in it. It's definitely an 'in your face' color and I love it!

Last post for the day! I love the idea of what this mani was supposed to be but in the end it just didn't turn out. I probably should have spent more than 20 minutes on it! I still think it's kind of cute!

The only one I'm remotely happy with is the thumb! 

Teed Off!

I don't think I've ever actually played golf but my friend loves it so I decided to paint some golf nails for him! It was actually pretty simple and I got to use green for a change which I hardly ever do!

Caught in a Web!

Wow I'm so behind in posting pictures of my manicures. I did these about a week ago as my first Halloween mani! I love Halloween! I will probably be doing multiple different Halloween inspired manicures, here is the first which is webs and a spider, with sparkles of course!

I couldn't suppress my inner rainbow any longer!

Hey everyone! There's a lot of new faces around here and I couldn't be happier! I know y'all came for the awesome giveaway but hopefully you'll stay for the awesome nail art? Maybe? Please? My manicure for you today is one I did for someone at work. They told me they wanted to see rainbows so I obliged. It took a while, probably about an hour and was kind of a pain in the butt! I love the result though!

So, I've got some happy on my nails for the next few days! YAY

Well, I was going to wait till I had some sort of substantial following, like maybe 50. But I just couldn't wait any longer! Chinese architecture!

On one of the reddit subs, RandomActsOfPolish, someone is holding a competition in which we were to choose a photo and create a manicure inspired by it. Sooo, I looked through lots and lots of my old photos from China and picked this one that I took in the Forbidden City in Beijing!

Now there's a lot going on in that picture so I decided just to pick a few elements out like some of the intricate wooden carvings and the written banner. Here is the result! I wasn't happy with my photographs of this manicure because as hard as I tried, flash and no flash I couldn't get the color to photograph right. The actual color in person is a lot greener like the color on the pillars in the photo above. Maybe it's time to build a light box.

Yay! I like this manicure! I think I'll keep it for a while (three days maybe)!

DNA Sequence?

Ooops. I'm a couple days behind in posting. I did these a couple days ago. My original plan was to make them into bones but I stopped after I made the dots because I thought it looked cool!

I used Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet for the green and Spoiled Correction Tape for the white bows.

Love this nude!

I've always been afraid of nudes but when I came across this one today and got home and tried it out, it was just perfect! Then I added the tips to just spice it up a little.

The nude is an e.l.f polish that has no name! It is part of a Target exclusive e.l.f collection and none of them have names sadly. The tips are black with Essie Shine of the Times on top!

I saw this on some blog somewhere and I really don't like to take inspiration without crediting but it was on a compilation site and doesn't have a watermark on it. It's such a happy manicure though!

Reddit colors for my cakeday!

Yesterday was my reddit cakeday, which means I was celebrating a year of being on reddit! I didn't have time to paint these beforehand because I worked doubles the last three days. I finally got the chance to paint them tonight and I decided to do a curvy/stripy unique design with the signature reddit colors!

I spent two hours on this manicure, with all polish and a thin nail brush. The white is Spoiled Correction Tape, the orange is Sinfulcolors Oh La La and the blue is China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-le
